1997
I moved to Fort McMurray in the spring of 1997 and opened up shop. I lived in the store for the first year as I started with nothing. Met lots of amazing people who helped me to build my reputation & business.
After 1 year in business I moved to a new location and had some major growth, started selling home theater, and was very involved in the stereo competition scene.

As things progressed I continued to grow and moved yet again.

This location went through so many changes as I like to renovate and keep things fresh. I added a second bay eventually with 4 theater rooms and plenty of car audio and a dozen staff members at one point.

In high school I started building my own house speakers and selling them. I installed my own car audio system and many of my friends systems.
I went off to college for electronic service tech but realized that was not the field for me and I got into cat audio and just followed my passion till it lead me to my own business in Fort McMurray.
Fort Mac has been great to me and I have raised my family here and we enjoy the outdoors here.

In my youth I always loved cars, I had a tremendous passion for anything music, and nerdy tech. I was born and raised in Fort Mac, and my father's influence drove me to this industry. He modified every vehicle he owned with performance parts, rims and tires, tint, and above all, high performance audio. It was always my job to pick the tunes, and find high quality recordings for our night time drives through our town. I have been installing audio as a DIYer since I was 15 with my dad.
After attempting many ventures, I eventually found my calling at Audio Dezigns in 2019. Since then I have been raising the bar of what it means to immerse people in music. In my spare time I'm either enjoying my favourite tunes, gaming, or learning more about acoustics.

Cole Johnson was born and raised in Fort McMurray.
Growing up, he started tinkering with cars with his father and always had a passion for music, vehicles, and electronics.
Cole joined the team at Audio Dezigns in 2012 and loves helping customers get better audio video & security.
Live music and off-roading are some of his favourite pastimes.
